Bridges Community Church is a place where everyone is welcome, people can meet Jesus through God’s Word and engage in life-giving community. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God’s glory. Join us for our Sunday service!
What To Expect
Churches are like people, no two are exactly the same. So, what should you expect when you visit Bridges Community Church?
On Sunday mornings, we gather at 10 am to worship God through singing, prayers, readings from the Bible, sharing from church members, a sermon from God's Word and celebrating Communion together. Dress is casual.
The service usually starts with the church being invited to sing together. If you don’t know the song, just read the lyrics on the screen and look for truths from the Bible there. We also observe and celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of every Sunday service. Participation is voluntary. We don’t pass the elements down the rows, so no one notices if you choose not to get up and partake.
Children under 1st grade are invited to a Bible lesson after the singing portion of the service. Children 2nd grade and older sit with their parents, with a worksheet or their own notebook to jot down words of phrases to ask their parents about later. Oftentimes, some of these children read Scripture from the front or play on the music team.
A typical service lasts about 75 minutes. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people. On the last Sunday of each month we usually head to the park nearby for a picnic lunch. We hope you’ll join us soon so we can get to know you.
